Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive dental examinations, evaluations, and treatment planning.
Diagnose oral health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide general dentistry services, including fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, and other restorative procedures.
Review and interpret dental X-rays and other diagnostic imaging.
Administer local anesthesia as appropriate.
Perform routine and complex restorative dental procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment options.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment recommendations, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.
Monitor patient progress and provide appropriate follow-up care.
Collaborate with Dental Assistants and Hygienists to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
Maintain strict infection-control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety standards.
Stay current with developments in dentistry, technology, materials, and treatment techniques.
Participate in continuing education and professional development.
Build trust and positive relationships with patients and families.
Contribute to a collaborative, professional, and positive office culture.

Qualifications

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
Active and unrestricted state dental license.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
DEA registration, if required for the position.
Proven experience providing comprehensive general dentistry services.
Strong knowledge of dental procedures, treatment planning, and clinical protocols.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively with Dental Assistants, Hygienists, and administrative staff.
Strong commitment to patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dental practice.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience practicing general dentistry.
Experience with digital radiography and electronic dental records.
Experience with crowns, bridges, restorative dentistry, and extractions.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Membership in the ADA or applicable state dental association.
Experience working in a high-volume dental practice.
